Seizure disorder caused by injuries from a head-on collision

Auto accidents can cause serious injuries and even death. Many issues that people develop result from injuries in the wreck. A plaintiff back in October of this year was awarded $800,000 due to injuries sustained in a head-on collision. The plaintiff was driving a light pick-up truck when another individual turned left in-front of the plaintiff resulting in a crash. After the wreck the plaintiff reported short-term memory loss and severe headaches. She also began to experience seizures with no prior history. The victims injuries were mild traumatic brain injury with a seizure disorder and short-term memory impairment and an ACL tear in the right knee.

If you are involved in an automobile accident of any kind it is important to contact a personal injury lawyer and seek medical treatment. The issue with accidents, is that many injuries or side affects related to the injuries do not show up right away. As our plaintiff in the story began to experience seizures and short-term memory impairment the defendants tried to say these were not due to the crash but were pre-existing disorders. Without the help of personal injury attorneys this woman would have never received a settlement of $800,000.
