Truck Accident and Tractor Trailer Injuries
Truck Owners in Fatal Crash Can Sue
A decision was overturned by the high court to allow the owner of a dump truck company to sue the insurance company. The insurance company stated that insurance had lapsed on the truck involved in a fatal crash. The owner of the trucking company is serving a six year prison term for manslaughter and other charges connected to the crash. It occurred when one of his company's dump trucks lost control down a mountain and slammed into a line of cars. The crash was blamed on shoddy maintenance and driver inexperience. The driver died in the truck crash.
