On the morning of Tuesday, March 25, 2014, a 25-year-old woman drove into a Hampton, Virginia barber shop. Police reported that the driver, Gracielle Garnett lost control of her Chevrolet Blazer and hit First Class Barber Salon at 1 Riverdale Drive. She was originally in the parking lot of Kingdom Kids Child Care in the 700 block of West Mercury Blvd before accelerating into the barber shop. Emergency personnel were dispatched around 8:30AM to the scene. The barber shop was closed at the time of the crash. The driver was treated at Riverside Hospital for minor injuries sustained from the accident. According to Hampton Police Division spokesman Sgt. Jason Price, 25-year-old Garnett has been charged with reckless driving following the crash.
