A fatal single-vehicle auto accident occurred near Windsor, Virginia on Tuesday afternoon. The victim, 52-year-old Rose McAlpine of Zuni, Virginia, was heading westbound in the 6000 block of West Blackwater Road when she drove off the road and struck a tree, according to Sgt. Michelle Anaya of the Virginia State Police. The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. on February 18th, 2014. There were no passengers in the vehicle. McAlpine died as a result of her injuries.
The car crash is still under investigation. Speed is believed to be a factor.
