Norfolk:

ZooBoo 2019

Location: Virginia Zoo

Our biggest event of the year is back again for two days! ZooBoo offers a variety of safe, family-friendly, fall-fun activities! Animal pumpkin encounters and Keeper Chats, costume contests, crafts, ZooLive! Stage presentations, candy stations and more!

 

Virginia Beach:

Wizard Fest

A Pop-Up Wizarding Experience with dance party, costume contest, photo booth, trivia and Halloween egg hunt for cash prizes! This event is ALL AGES! You can purchase tickets for this event here.

Halloween at the Aquarium

Location: Virginia Aquarium

Date: Friday, October 25th , 2019

Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Join us for spooky tricks and fun treats during this special evening event! Bring a trick-or-treat bag and come dressed in your Halloween best for an evening of games, prizes, and spooky entertainment. Haunted Hunt Club Farm Halloween Festival

A Scream Park of Halloween Thrills, Terrifying Haunts, Live Entertainment, Midway Concessions, Vendors & More! Join our motley cast of characters as we celebrate, “30 Years of Extreme Halloween.”

 

Portsmouth:

39th Annual Olde Towne Ghost Walk

Location: Tours begin in the graveyard of Trinity Episcopal Church, corner of Court and High Streets in Olde Towne (500 Court Street)

Date: October 25th, 2019

Time: Tours at 7:00pm, 8:00pm, and 9:00pm

Based on the Jack-the-Ripper Walks in London, participants in the 39th annual Olde Towne GhostWalk will be treated to some of the most haunting stories of Portsmouth’s past.

Guides take spectators on a walk past haunted houses and mansions of Olde Towne, a 20-square block, 500 building area on the National Register of Historic Places. At each house on the tour, actors in appropriate costume will retell the legends of ghostly visitations and things that go bump in the night. Cameras are welcome. Houses are private properties and not open to the public.

 

Chesapeake:

A Haunting at Greenbrier Farms

Location: Greenbrier Farms

A Haunting at Greenbrier Farms in Chesapeake! Bigger, Longer, & Better than EVER! Join us for the haunted farm experience that everyone’s talking about! Historic Greenbrier Farms opens the annual Haunted Farm attraction Friday, September 27th. The fright-night experience runs through October 31st. This year we relive the horrid tragedy that happened here in 1971. Voted One of Virginia’s Best Haunt Attractions!

Halloween Goat Yoga

Location: Chesapeake Farmer’s Market

Time: There will be three class times available. 9am, 10am, and 11am

Halloween Goat Yoga is taught by a certified Yoga Instructor and taught in a way that is perfect for everyone from the beginner to the advanced yogi! Prepare to smile, laugh, snuggle, feed, and love on precious baby goats in adorable Halloween costumes!

 

Suffolk:

Drive-In Movie in the Park: Ghostbusters (1984)

Location: Bennett’s Creek Park

3000 Bennett’s Creek Park Road

Date: October 19th, 2019

Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Throw it back to the days of the Drive In! Bennett’s Creek will transform for a family fun night of children’s activities and two larger-than-life movie screens to watch the 1984 classic, Ghostbusters, from the comfort of your front seat! Two full concession areas will be available with food and treats. No coolers or outside food in lawn movie area. Pets are welcome and must be on a leash when outside of your vehicle. The park will open at 5pm for parking and fun activities for the children, to include games, crafts, and bounce houses, while you wait for the movie to begin. The movie will begin at approximately 7pm.

 

Newport News:

Newport News Fall Festival

Location: Newport News Park

13560 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News VA

Date: October 5th & 6th, 2019

Time: 10:00am – 5:00pm

The festival features over 150 exhibitors showcasing crafts, heritage trade demonstrations, entertainment, children’s activities, craft beer, and food. Free admission, $5.00 per car parking fee.

Night of the Living Museum

Location: Virginia Living Museum

524 J Clyde Morris Blvd, Newport News VA

Date: October 18 & 19, 2019

Time: 5:30 pm – 8:30pm

Night of the Living Museum returns to the Virginia Living Museum for its 20th year on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Get your costume ready and come dressed as your favorite character or wild animal. Trick-or-treat throughout the Museum as you walk through themed galleries filled with characters and decorations! Make creepy crafts and play Halloween games. This is a not-too-spooky Halloween event for families with children ages 12 and under.

 

Williamsburg:

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream

Location: Busch Gardens Williamsburg

1 Busch Gardens Blvd, Williamsburg VA

Date: Opens on September 14th and runs on select days through October 27th.

Time: Howl-o-Scream begins at 6:00pm each night.
