Rutter Mills Wins $1 Million for a Client Injured in a Bus Accident

Rutter Mills attorney, Adam H. Lotkin, was once again recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly Virginia’s preeminent legal publication – for achieving a noteworthy personal injury lawsuit settlement. The case was resolved through global mediation and he secured a $1 million settlement value for his young client, despite litigation that involved more than 50 claimants in a tragic interstate bus incident.

The client was a 10-year old girl who suffered a fractured right femur when the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Our client required surgery to treat the fracture.

The global mediation was overseen by a retired federal judge in New York and ultimately resulted in a pro-rated payout of one million dollars to our Rutter Mills client. We are happy to report our client has responded well to the treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
