Together with the Sentara Mobile 3D Mammogram Bus, we are working to make access to early detection easy for everyone. This event series underscores the firm’s unwavering commitment to raising awareness about the critical importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer. Breast cancer is a pervasive health concern affecting millions of lives each year. Recognizing the need for proactive healthcare initiatives, Rutter Mills is taking a bold step to help bring accessible breast cancer screening services directly to the community.

The Sentara Mobile 3D Mammogram Bus is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced mammography technology, providing women with convenient access to crucial screenings. By hosting this mobile unit, Rutter Mills aims to remove barriers to early detection, emphasizing the firm’s dedication to the health and well-being of the community.
In addition to the bus, we will also have some activities for visitors, including carnival-style games, popcorn, and a snow cone machine. Come out with your friends and family between 10 AM – 1 PM for Rutter Mills swag, a chance to win prizes and beat the heat with some summer fun! These activities will be weather-dependent; however, the bus will be there and ready for all appointments regardless.

The series kicked off last December at our Newport News location. The July event marks the second visit from the bus for our 2024 campaign. These visits by the 3D Mobile Mammogram Bus will be rotating between the Rutter Mills offices in Norfolk, Newport News, and our new Virginia Beach office. This will give downtown residents access to screenings they may not otherwise have. It will also serve as a reminder for women over 40 to schedule their appointments.
