Virginia Beach

“Stars & Stripes Celebration“

Date: July 4, 2024 – 7PM to 11PM | Fireworks Start at 9:30PM

Location: 17th, 24th, and 31st Street Parks

Get ready for a “star-spangled” salute to America this July 4 at Virginia Beach oceanfront! Live concerts in 17th, 24th, and 31st Street Parks from 7PM – 11PM, and enjoy a spectacular oceanfront fireworks display at 9:30PM, which can be viewed from anywhere along the beach.

“July 4th Celebration at Mount Trashmore”

Date: July 4, 2024 – 8PM to 9:30PM | Fireworks start at 9:30PM

Location: 310 Edwin Drive

Enjoy an Independence Day celebration complete with food trucks, live music, and a beautiful fireworks display at Mount Trashmore on Tuesday, July 4th. The event begins at 8PM with free admission and $20 parking. Fireworks will begin at 9:30PM.

Norfolk 

“4th of July Great American Picnic & Fireworks”

Date: July 4, 2024 – 5PM to 10PM | Fireworks start at 9:30PM

Location: Town Point Park

Norfolk Festevents is holding a community event on the 4th of July! Bring your family and friends down to Town Point Park, where guests can enjoy traditional, all-American fare- free and open to the public. Relax on the lawn and enjoy the live entertainment, then watch the fireworks display at 9:30PM.

Chesapeake

“Celebrate Freedom”

Date: Wednesday, July 3, 2024 – 5PM to 9:30PM | Fireworks start at 9:30PM

Location: Chesapeake City Park
900 City Park Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320

Celebrate America’s Birthday with band concerts providing stirring patriotic sounds. A variety of food trucks will be available. Enjoy music, activities, and giveaways while they last! Following the concerts, fireworks by Pyrotecnico will illuminate the dark sky after sunset. The event is free to the public. $5 on-site Parking Fee. Bring your own chairs or blanket. (Tents, feather flags, and oversized umbrellas are not permitted!)

“Annual South Norfolk July 4th Parade & Picnic in the Park”

Date: Thursday, July 4, 2024 10AM – 3PM
Location: Lakeside Park

Picnic in the Park: After the Parade until 3PM

The South Norfolk Civic League and the Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will present this annual patriotic event in South Norfolk at Lakeside Park. This is a fun, affordable, family event. The annual Patriotic Parade is full of fun with hundreds of individuals, marching bands, dance groups, floats, old cars, new cars and funny cars. Follow the parade to the celebration in the park! The event is free to the public although some activities may require a small fee.

“Stars in the Sky”

Date: July 4^th, 2024 – 6:00 PM to 9:15 PM | Fireworks start at 9PM

Enjoy celebrating July 4th with great food, live music, festive entertainers, giveaways and a spectacular fireworks display above the James River. This event will feature musical performances from Good Shot Judy and the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra. Gerome Meminger will also be conducting a live stage painting performance. Fireworks Begin at 9PM with free admission and parking.

Celebrate Independence Day with fireworks in Smithfield! The display will shoot off from Clontz Park in Downtown Smithfield.  For the best view, visit the Smithfield Station and all along the river. The Smithfield Fireworks display can be seen from most places in downtown Smithfield.

Location: Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg

A great way to commemorate our nation’s birth is by celebrating on historic Duke of Gloucester Street. Enjoy patriotic festivities, including public readings of the Declaration of Independence, musical performances, and a dazzling fireworks display to cap the evening.

“Fireworks at the Fairgrounds”

Date: Wednesday, July 3, 2024 – 6:30PM to 9:30PM | Fireworks start at 9:30PM

Location: Heritage Park, 21311 Courthouse Hwy.

This family event kicks off at 5pm with live music face painting, and food vendors, and music with a performance by Chase Payne at 7:30PM. The evening will continue to spark excitement in a grand display of fireworks at 9:30!
