Virginia Beach

July 4^th Celebration at Mount Trashmore

Date: Tuesday, July 4^th, 2023 – Fireworks Start at 9:30PM

Location: Mount Trashmore Park

310 Edwin Drive Virginia Beach, VA

Celebrate America’s independence with live music by local musicians, delicious foods, and of course, booming fireworks! Fireworks begin at 9:30 pm. Admission is free and open to the public; limited on-site parking is $10. When parking lots at Mount Trashmore Park are full, Edwin Drive between Independence Boulevard and South Boulevard may close.

 

Stars and Stripes Celebration

Date: Tuesday, July 4^th, 2023 7pm – 11pm

Location: 17th Street, 24th Street and31st Street Parks

Multiple live performances on oceanfront stages will attract thousands of visitors and residents of Virginia Beach to a “star-spangled” salute to this great country of ours at Stars & Stripes Celebration on July 4! Scheduled live entertainment offers something for everyone: patriotic and classical to tribute bands, and naturally, fireworks! All concerts and the fireworks show are free and open to the public.

Norfolk

Annual 4^th of July Great American Picnic and Fireworks

Date: Tuesday July 4^th, 2023 – 5pm to 10pm

Location: Town Point Park, Downtown Norfolk Waterfront

Leave the grilling to us on the 4th of July and bring your family and friends down to Town Point Park. Guests can buy traditional all-American fare, including hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue, seafood, buttered corn on the cob, juicy watermelon, lemonade… with all the fixin’s and much more available for purchase! Relax on the lawn and enjoy the live entertainment, then watch as the sky lights up with the fireworks display at 9:30 pm!

 

Chesapeake

Celebrate Freedom – Concert & Fireworks

Date: July 3rd, 2023 – 7pm to 10pm

Location: 900 City Park Drive Chesapeake, VA

Honor our nation’s birthday with a concert from the Tidewater Winds Concert Band followed by the U. S. Fleet Forces Band and a fireworks finale at 9:30! FREE admission. ($5 fee for on-site parking will help us continue this great family event!) Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets (no pop-up tents permitted).

 

4^th of July Parade & Party in the Park

Date: July 4^th, 2023 – 10am to 4pm

Location: 1441 Bainbridge Blvd, Chesapeake VA

The annual Fourth of July Parade is a good old-fashioned parade down the streets of a great American community, South Norfolk. Followed by a party in the park!

Newport News

Stars in the Sky

Date: July 4^th, 2023 – 7pm to 9:30pm

Location: Victory Landing Park

The City of Newport News Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department will present the “4th of July Stars in the Sky” on Thursday, July 4, 2023 at Victory Landing Park (50 25th St.). The event begins at 7:00 PM. Food vendors will be on site selling Independence Day family favorites including hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, snow cones, ice cream, funnel cakes and so much more. Live music will also be provided on the main stage from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and the night will culminate in a spectacular fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.

Smithfield

Smithfield Fireworks Display

Sunday, July 2nd, 2023 9pm – 9:45pm

See the Smithfield Fireworks display from most places in downtown Smithfield. Please note that is heavy traffic congestion immediately after the display so please be patient.

Yorktown

Independence Day Celebrations

Date: July 4^th, 2023 – 8am to 10pm

Location: Riverwalk Landing

Independence Day in Yorktown is a free family-friendly celebration featuring a full lineup of events leading up to the big fireworks finale! Evening activities include a bell-ringing ceremony, patriotic concert, and an amazing fireworks display over the York River. Bring your flags; wear red, white, and blue; and come together to celebrate America! Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.

Williamsburg

Lights of Freedom

Date: July 4th, 2023 – 9:30 pm

Location: Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg

As the prelude to the thrilling Fourth of July Fireworks display, our holiday programming concludes with a celebration of the words and music of the American Revolution. Admission is free on July 4th! Highlights include a reading of the Declaration of Independence, American marching music of the Revolution, and a patriotic sing-along culminating in a grand fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

Windsor

Isle of Wight County Independence Day Celebration

Date: July 2nd, 2023

Location: Heritage Park, 21311 Courthouse Hwy.

This family event kicks off at 5pm with live music face painting, and food vendors. The evening culminates in a grand display of fireworks at 9:30.
