2024 Legal Food Frenzy
Annual Legal Food Frenzy Competiton
The Legal Food Frenzy (LFF) is an annual fundraising competition created in partnership with the Virginia Attorney General, the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Virginia Bar Association, and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks. Each year Rutter Mills partners with a local foodbank to help raise food, money, and awareness about the food insecurity in our area.
Hunger in Hampton Roads
According to recent studies at ODU, our area has the highest rate of food insecurity in the state. In South Hampton Roads, 40% of children do not have access to adequate nutrition. 40%!
With the increase of costs in a post COVID world, families are struggling to provide the resources they need and Rutter Mills wants to help. Each year we participate raising funds, donating food items and helping raise awareness of the critical need.
How Can You Help Fight Hunger in Hampton Roads?
There are several ways you can help the community to end food insecurity. The most simple is by helping to raise awareness of the issue. It doesn’t cost a dime to spread the word that the need is real in our area.
