Is Your Insurance Company Spying On You?

Transcript
Does it surprise you that the auto insurance company to whom you are paying premiums is spying on you? Well, it shouldn’t surprise you.
We all know they do it in certain ways, like getting you to use a product called “Snapshot” or getting you to put other devices in your car, so they can see exactly what you’re doing.
But now we learned that the auto insurance companies had been working with some of the Big Data companies like Google and others to buy data about your phone, and therefore your phone’s travel, so they can use it against you in making decisions about your auto insurance.
It’s kind of shocking, but for somebody who deals with auto insurance companies all day long and watches how they handle claims, it doesn’t shock me. So beware, the insurance company is not always on your side
If you’re in a wreck, don’t be shocked what the insurance company’s going to do. Call us, and we’ll walk you through it.
Thanks.
